16. A man purchased two books in Rs. 1000. He sells the first book at \(\frac{4}{5}\) of its cost price and the second book at \(\frac{5}{4}\) of its cost price. If during the whole transaction he earns a profit of Rs. 100 then find the cost price of cheaper book.

25. A and B are two alloy of copper and Tin prepared by mixing metals in proportion 7:2 and 7:11 respectively. If equal quantities of alloy are melted to form a third alloy C then find the proportion of copper and tin in alloy C.

29. 112 litres of a mixture contains milk and water in the ratio of 27:5. How much more water is to be added to get a mixture containing milk and water in the ratio of 3:1 ?

30. A and B are two alloy of Gold and Copper prepared by mixing metals in the ratio 5:3 and 5:11 respectively. Equal quantities of these alloys are melted to form a third alloy C then find the ratio of Gold & Copper in the alloy C ?
